Freeze-dried Acai powder is made from the berries of a plant native to South America that indigenous peoples have harvested and used as a primary food source for centuries. To make this freeze-dried powder, acai berries are harvested from the wild Amazon forest, where they grow sustainably in their natural environment. Certified organic and fair trade acai powder preserves the berry’s rich purple color, fruity aroma.
Freeze-dried Acai powder is produced in a process where the moisture in the berries is removed at a very low temperature (-80C) and using a vacuum. During packaging, only about 3 percent moisture remains in the berries. The weight of the final product is thereby reduced by more than 90 percent, while the volume remains the same. This remarkable process focuses on the fresh taste of acai, its natural color and texture. Once the berries are dry, they are ground into a powder and bottled in recycled plastic jars. In addition, all cans have an additional freshness membrane under the lid, which always keeps the powder dry and under vacuum. In such conditions, freeze-dried products are preserved for at least 15-20 years. This means that all our products remain as fresh and delicious as possible. After opening the jars, they can be resealed with an airtight lid.
Freeze-dried Acai powder has a pleasant taste similar to that of blueberries and chocolate, and can be dissolved in water, milk, smoothies or breakfast drinks to make their consumption easy and pleasant.
